“Hell’s Kitchen,” “Illinoise,” “The Outsiders,” “Suffs” and “Water for Elephants” will contend for best musical at the Tony Awards and stars including Rachel McAdams, Jeremy Strong and Jessica Lange are also up for prizes, as the nominations recognizing the best of the 2023-24 Broadway season were announced Tuesday morning.

The ceremony will be hosted by Ariana DeBose on June 16 at the Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater and broadcast on CBS.
