The yearly list of the world’s greatest places, which features 100 exceptional places to travel to and stay, was made public by TIME. TIME has included Mumbai’s Museum of Solutions (MuSo), a unique children’s museum, on its list of the World’s Greatest Places of 2024.

Situated in the centre of Mumbai, MuSo is a unique establishment that inspires kids to become tomorrow’s problem solvers. It provides a variety of experiences, including immersive galleries, learning and development programmes, labs using creative tools, and a library with a carefully chosen selection of children’s books. The museum’s overarching goal is to inspire young people to think creatively and make a constructive contribution to their communities.

The MuSo team has been working to create an environment that fosters creativity and forward-thinking abilities since the company’s founding in 2023. It’s intended to be a place of learning, discovery, and creation for guests. A variety of exhibits at the MuSo showcase creative approaches to problems in fields like technology, sustainability, and the arts. Guests can observe firsthand instances of constructive change in action. The museum also hosts seminars and workshops on a variety of subjects for people of all ages in an effort to promote a community of lifelong learners and change agents.

Its standing as a must-visit location for inquisitive young minds worldwide is cemented by TIME’s recognition. The museum is dedicated to its goal of enabling visitors to become change agents even as it expands and changes throughout time.

In order to create this list, TIME asked its global network of correspondents and contributors for recommendations of locations, with a focus on those that offer novel and thrilling experiences. Nominations for hotels, cruises, restaurants, attractions, museums, parks, and more were accepted.

The Museum of Solutions is distinct from other children’s museums in India because of its unique solution-oriented approach, which goes beyond traditional learn-through-play methodologies. The non-profit organisation, which occupies 100,000 square feet in Lower Parel, Mumbai, features four unique labs where children between the ages of two and seventeen can experiment with maths, physics, art and other STEAM subjects; use immersive experiences to address real-world issues like marine pollution and climate change; use electronics, woodworking and technology to create mock-ups of anything from boats to robots; and learn about sustainability through composting and gardening. The museum intends to establish a Changemakers Panel by year’s end, a first-of-its-kind programme in India (and worldwide) where kids between the ages of 11 and 14 would assist in creating new shows and activities.
