Lady Gaga wowed with both a breathtaking performance and an equally alluring feathery Dior attire during the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony.
Lady Gaga kicked off the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony in style, delivering a jaw-dropping performance that left everyone talking. The 38-year-old Grammy and Oscar winner mesmerised the audience with a vibrant rendition of Zizi Jeanmaire’s iconic song, Mon Truc en Plumes. But it wasn’t just her performance that stole the show, her outfit made a striking impression too. Gaga made a dramatic entrance by emerging from a sea of pink feathers wearing a gorgeous feathered ensemble. It was a bold and glamorous statement that set the tone for an unforgivable evening in Paris.
The pop icon rocked a Dior ensemble that was a three-piece marvel of style and drama. The look featured a lavish ostrich coat, a flowing front-open skirt and a sleek black bustier bodysuit. She started the performance in a short black coat adorned with bold ostrich feathers and a front-open skirt that transitioned beautifully from black feathers to pink at the hem. As the show progressed, Gaga dramatically shed her outer layers to reveal her belted black bustier and sheer tights. By the end of her song, she added an enormous bustle made of white feathers.
As the outfit was dramatic, Gaga made sure to accessorise perfectly. She wore full-length black gloves, patent leather pointy-toe heels and tall feathered headpiece for that extra flair.
Gaga’s glam game was on point, mesmerising with pinkish eyeshadow, perfectly winged eyeliner and mascara-laden lashes. Her white-dyed brows turned heads which took her look to a whole new level. Subtle contouring and pinkish blush accentuated her natural features, while bold red lips completed the stunning transformation.
Gaga can effortlessly pull off any look, no matter how daring. A prime example of this was when she wore a breathtaking lavender cape dress designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino Haute Couture from the fall/winter 2021 collection. Topping off this dramatic look, she donned a matching lilac feathered headdress by Philip Treacy and a pair of purple-lined Marc Jacobs sunglasses.
But Gaga didn’t stop there. She added a pop of colour with bright yellow leather gloves and completed the outfit with barely-there stilettos.
On the professional front, Lady Gaga is set to star in the upcoming thriller Joker: Folie à Deux, directed by Todd Phillips. This highly anticipated film is the sequel to the 2019 hit Joker. Joaquin Phoenix returns to his iconic role as the Joker while Gaga joins the cast as Harley Quinn, his love interest.
