Kieron Pollard delivered a match-winning performance, smashing five consecutive sixes off Rashid Khan to lead Southern Brave to a thrilling two-wicket victory over Trent Rockets at the Utilita Bowl.

Initially struggling with just 6 runs off 14 balls, Pollard appeared to be in trouble as Southern Brave faltered in their chase of a modest 127-run target.

However, the West Indian powerhouse quickly turned the game around, launching an extraordinary assault on Rashid Khan, hitting five towering sixes in as many balls.

Pollard’s quickfire 45 from 23 balls brought Southern Brave within touching distance of victory. Although he was run out shortly after his explosive display, Chris Jordan held his nerve, hitting a crucial boundary on the penultimate ball to secure the win.
