After a series of looks where she got western wear on fleek, Bhumi Pednekar is now going through a saree phase. A quick perusal of her Instagram grid reveals that the actor has been donning the elegant nine yards to all events lately. She has been embracing the saree in all its forms and has been nailing each and every look. Recently, she was spotted in a black saree with a unique Parsi Gara embroidery and we are in awe.
Taking to her Instagram, Bhumi Pednekar shared a series of pictures of her latest look. She recently attended an event and she opted for the black nine yards of elegance. The saree showed the floral Parsi Gara embroidery all over. She paired the saree with a sheer full-sleeved white lace blouse. The sleeves extended into gloves and added a vintage touch to the look. She wrapped layers of pearl necklace around her neck for the royal look and ditched the other accessories.
For the makeup, Bhumi opted for a bold oxblood lip which went well with the black saree, lace, and pearl details. She kept her base dewy and opted for smooth contours. She opted for minimal eye makeup and coated her lashes with mascara. She added a hint of colour to her cheeks with smartly placed blush which accentuated her jawline. She tied her hair up in an updo and let her saree speak.
This embroidery uses silk threads for the threadwork. The Parsi community brought this technique to India while trading with China. It takes anywhere between three weeks to two months to create a Gara saree. The embroidery often features flora and fauna. The motif is meticulously stitched on the garment to create stunning pieces of art.
