Shukla Pratipada is regarded as an unfavourable time for starting any auspicious activities and falls under Ashubh Muhurta timings. In contrast, Shukla Dwitiya is a favourable time and is included in the list of Shubh Muhurta timings. Three festivals are scheduled for this day: Third Shravan Somwar Vrat, Ishti, and Chandra Darshana.
